MALANG – May 7 2025
Mohammad Dio Alianzyah, a 6th-semester student of Visual Communication Design (VCD), is navigating the busy period of thesis writing, like most students in their final years. At the same time, he is actively integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world industry practices. Amidst this dynamic period, he also serves as a Mentor in the VCD Program, guiding fellow students in deepening their understanding of design and branding.

Ukuchuma’s Daily Meeting

Outside the academic sphere, Dio is the Founder and CEO of Ukuchuma Studio, a creative innovation born from the fusion of artistic vision and business strategy. Since its inception in August 2024, the studio has rapidly evolved from an independent illustration project into a professional team of 23 members spanning Illustration, 3D Animation/Modeling, and Graphic Design divisions. Through platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn, Ukuchuma Studio not only meets client demands but also acts as a bridge between creative innovation and business solutions across various sectors.

The founding story of Ukuchuma Studio reflects an adaptive entrepreneurial spirit. Starting from freelance projects on global platforms, the studio has grown through collaboration with talented young creatives. Within just four months, the team has successfully completed over 50 multidisciplinary projects, demonstrating how flexibility and solid team management can effectively respond to market complexities.

Recieving Brief

In addition, Dio currently works as a Graphic Design Specialist at PT. Solutive Inovasi Kreatif and as an Illustrator at Inspect History. These roles help him sharpen his skills in crafting impactful visual solutions for sustainable projects. His internship experiences at PT. Kinarya Creative, and Trivic Studio, have further enriched his perspective on the creative industry. Meanwhile, his role as Graphic Design Manager at Oh Be Shine has refined his leadership in managing creative teams.

Creative Process

“For young people looking to contribute to the creative industry, the key is to take initiative—not wait for opportunities to come. By building a relevant portfolio, actively networking, and courageously taking on diverse roles, we not only create value for ourselves but also contribute to a broader design ecosystem,” Dio stated during an interview.
