The Reforest Act is a tree-planting movement with the theme “One Tree for a Thousand Lives”. This activity program is an activity program carried out offline by the Son of Conservation of Putri Lestari. This activity is expected to be one way to increase awareness of the environment. In addition, it is also a place to invite and mobilize students and the public to be aware of the environment. Besides that, the Reforest Act is one of the programs and activities that support the SDGs program.

The series of Reforest Act activities began with volunteer registration which opened on Friday, 26 May 2023. Dissemination of information regarding the open recruitment of volunteers was carried out via the Instagram and WhatsApp accounts of all committees. The volunteer open recruitment period will then close on Friday, June 2 2023 with 30 volunteers registering. Furthermore, through Google Meet on Saturday, June 10 2023 a Technical Meeting was held for volunteers as an initial direction with an agenda for conveying the agenda and rules of conduct during the activity. After that, mangrove planting was carried out on Monday, 12 June 2023 at the Bangkong Umbulrejo River and Ungapan Beach Estuary, Malang Regency.

The mangrove planting activity began with the preparation of the committee and volunteers at 05.30-06.10 WIB. Then the committee and volunteers went to the location and arrived at the location at 09.30 WIB. The first series of events was the opening which was filled with remarks starting from the Chief Executive of the Reforest Act 2023, the General Chairperson of the Son of Sustainable Princess Conservation, and the Regent of Biology Students, followed by the giving of vandel to Mr. Sampur as the Head of Umbulrejo Hamlet as well as a briefing of activities directly guided by Mr. Dian as a member of the Tegalsari Maritime Community. At the activity briefing, Mr. Dian gave directions to the committee and volunteers to line up and get ready to go to the boat stop.

The organizers and volunteers were directed to board a boat that would go to the mangrove seedling planting area on the banks of the Bangkong River area. While boarding the boat, the Tegalsari Maritim Community also explained about the plants that grow around the Bangkong River area. After arriving at the mangrove seedling planting area, a good and correct way to plant mangroves was conveyed and the planting of mangrove seeds which had been distributed by the Tegalsari Maritim Community began. Before continuing the activities towards the Ungapan Beach Estuary, there was a documentation session between the volunteers, the committee, and the Tegalsari Maritime Community. After the mangrove seed planting activity is over, proceed to return to the Ungapan Beach Estuary. Arriving there, all the committee, volunteers, and the Tegalsari Maritim Community rested and ate together. All committees and volunteers were also given free time before closing and going home.
